Story
Max Falsetta Spina, a multifaceted visual artist, is known for his work as both a photographer and set designer [1]. His artistic endeavors frequently bridge the gap between traditional photography and cutting-edge digital experiences, often incorporating artificial intelligence and three-dimensional elements. In May 2026, Falsetta Spina's visual project, _APOKÁLYPSIS_, will transform Times Square in New York City with a large-scale intervention, offering a contemporary interpretation of revelation [2], [3].
_APOKÁLYPSIS_ is a visual project by Max Falsetta Spina exploring the concept of 'revelation' rather than solely focusing on the end of the world [3]. This project will be presented in Times Square, New York City, from May 13 to May 15, 2026, as part of The New Media Moment exhibition [2]. The work is designed as a large-scale visual intervention, transforming the urban screen into a narrative and critical device [2]. It incorporates art, cinema, and artificial intelligence to investigate themes of power, perception, and reality through evocative imagery [3]. The project will expand further with an immersive exhibition in Milan during Autumn/Winter 2026 [4].
The Times Square presentation of _APOKÁLYPSIS_ will feature a 20-second teaser, a 95-second reel, and a 6-minute short film [3]. All visual elements are generated using artificial intelligence, with Max Falsetta Spina maintaining authorial direction over composition, lighting, and cinematic construction [3]. The work utilizes symbolic elements, such as the number 7 for completeness and 6 for imperfection, creating a continuous tension between light and darkness [3]. Max Falsetta Spina shared insights into the project, noting that within the constant noise of Times Square, _APOKÁLYPSIS_ made the noise suddenly audible [1].
Max Falsetta Spina's work in parametric photography pushes the boundaries of traditional two-dimensional photography by introducing three-dimensionality [4], [5]. This approach invites viewers to 'enter' into his works, moving beyond the conventional flat image [4]. His artistic journey, initially rooted in applied scenography, led him to experiment with innovative solutions, drawing inspiration from artists like Umberto Boccioni and David Hockney, who explored the dimension of space [4], [5].
The _PARAMETRIC PHOTOGRAPHY_ exhibition was featured at Foro Buonaparte 67 in Milan as part of Brera Design Week 2025, running from April 7 to April 13, 2025 [4]. This exhibition showcased Falsetta Spina's metaphotographic works, which aim to transcend the traditional relationship between object and subject by allowing photographic paper to fold and open into unprecedented sculptural forms [4], [5]. The exhibition was also a collaboration with Davide Tremolada Enterprising, incorporating furniture designs that interact with Falsetta Spina's photographic concepts [4]. A book titled _PARAMETRIC PHOTOGRAPHY_ by Max Falsetta Spina, published on October 28, 2023, is also available for €129 [5].
Max Falsetta Spina is also involved in the collective photographic exhibition 'Alice e il Minotauro,' taking place at Bottega Immagine - Centro Fotografia Milano, located at Via Carlo Farini 60, Milano [6]. This exhibition opens on November 21, 2024, and concludes on December 6, 2024 [6]. The exhibition, curated by Diorama Progetti fotografici, aims to create a labyrinthine journey for visitors, inviting them to become protagonists in an imaginative experience [6].
Additionally, Max Falsetta Spina participated in NFT.NYC 2024, an event that celebrates advancements in NFTs and Web3 [7]. A commemorative NFT Postcard was issued to mark his participation in the conference [7]. Looking ahead, a Max Falsetta Spina - NFT.NYC 2025 Commemorative NFT Ticket - GA has been released, celebrating its holder [8]. Max Falsetta Spina's work was also part of the 'EYES WIDE SHOT #3 – Bergamo' exhibition, which was open until July 18, 2026 [1].
Max Falsetta Spina's artistic approach is characterized by a blend of traditional photographic techniques with innovative digital and sculptural elements. His background as a set designer informs his ability to interpret and construct three-dimensional spaces, which he then translates into his photographic endeavors [1], [4]. Falsetta Spina's work aims to go beyond the two-dimensionality typically associated with photography, inviting viewers to engage with his art in a more immersive and interactive way [4], [5]. He often incorporates artificial intelligence to create visual narratives, as seen in his _APOKÁLYPSIS_ project, demonstrating a forward-thinking perspective on art creation [3]. Falsetta Spina draws inspiration from artists who have explored the dimension of space, continually pushing the boundaries of what photography can be [4]. His 'metaphotographic' works, where images fold and open into sculptures, exemplify his commitment to this innovative vision [5].
